Liberia-Morocco Relations

Diplomatic relations between Liberia and the Kingdom of Morocco, established in the 1960s, have deepened significantly over the past decade through enhanced bilateral frameworks and cooperation agreements. A major milestone was the inauguration of the Consulate General of the Republic of Liberia in Dakhla on 12 March 2020, affirming Liberia’s continued solidarity with Morocco. Further strengthening this partnership, Her Excellency Madam Sara Beysolow Nyanti and His Excellency Mr. Nasser Bourita signed fifteen (15) bilateral cooperation agreements in January 2025 in Laayoune, covering key sectors including education, vocational training, industry, youth empowerment, mining, justice, Crafts and Social Solidary Economy and tourism.

Liberia’s diplomatic presence in Dakhla reaffirms its unequivocal support for the Kingdom of Morocco’s sovereignty and territorial integrity over the Moroccan Sahara region.
