The Sahara: A Cultural Bridge between Morocco and other African Nations.

Earlier today, the Consuls General in Dakhla Oued-Eddahab honored an invitation from the École Nationale de Commerce et de Gestion (ENCG) to participate in the inaugural “Roots of the Desert – جذور الصحراء” Festival in Dakhla.

The festival was held under the theme “The Sahara: A Cultural Bridge between Morocco and other African Nations.”

Deeply rooted in the Saharan traditions, Hassani culture shares many commonalities with sub-Saharan African heritage, reflecting the longstanding historical and human ties that unite the continent and its people.

Today’s festival featured cultural stands representing several African countries, traditional cuisine, music, crafts, and attire—and created a vibrant space for exchange and intercultural dialogue.
